Grilling is the easiest way to bring the family all together for food, fun and laughter. Texas is known for its barbeque! But did you also know this favorite past time can help you save money on your energy bills in the spring and summer time? Deflect winter winds with windbreaks on the north and northwest sides of your house.
When you are cooking outside on the grill the obvious states the issue, you do not have to worry about the heat from the stove/oven warming up your home. Cooking in the house is just about the same as turning on your heater. It can be very difficult to get the house to cool down again by the time you or your family are ready for bed. Using the air conditioner to cool down the house after cooking in the house, just makes for a higher electrical bill.
