Texas-New Mexico Power delivers electricity to over 236,000 customers throughout Texas in communities outside Houston, Dallas-Fort Worth, and Midland.

Texas families and businesses must purchase their energy from a certified "Retail Electric Provider" (REP). If you don't or if your provider goes out of business, you will receive service from a Provider of Last Resort (POLR) chosen by the state Public Utilities Commission. POLR service is relatively more expensive due to the costs associated with serving an uncertain number of customers with uncertain electricity use. Small business customers in the TNMP area will receive POLR service from Reliant Energy. Texas-New Mexico Power customers can check out energy suppliers and shop for electricity plans to find the one that's right for them.
